There has never been a better time for young people to join our school. Whether you are considering a place for your child in the Junior or Senior School, you can rest assured that they are well placed and that their future success is assured.
The educational opportunities provided by the school are well established. Often, applicants approach the school on recommendation and are quick to recognise our unique programme of learning: catering for varieties in ability and personality is an established practice. Likewise, ensuring the pupils are taught in small classes, at the right pace, in an orderly, constructive atmosphere is a key aspect of school life. Your child can expect to be taught in a stimulating environment by highly dedicated, experienced subject specialists. The school believes that, regardless of age, every child matters and they should be treated as an individual: educating the whole person is what counts.
Academic success continues to be celebrated, just as physical talent, musical creativity and moral development are also valued. Pupils leave the school well equipped to deal with the trials and tribulations of modern living. Moreover, they have a sense of humanity and social responsibility.
We are a non-denominational school; our principal objective is to bring together children from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds: tolerance and respect for others are the building blocks of a caring community. This approach is extended to include the school/home partnership.
Pupils leaving our school are fully rounded individuals who can look forward to a life of personal and professional fulfilment.
This website can only give you a glimpse of what we offer at Hulme Hall Grammar School. To truly appreciate the school, you will need to see us in action. You will be most welcome to attend any of the Open Mornings or to arrange a private tour at a more convenient time. The school secretary will be pleased to arrange this for you.

Our pupils' opinions on their time at Hulme Hall Grammar School:
HEAD GIRL - GABRIELLA ROCCO
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hulme Hall. The environment suited me brilliantly. The small class sizes helped me to achieve my potential. The fact that I have been at Hulme Hall for 8 years speaks for itself. I have thrived in subjects like French and Spanish and I love languages due to the confidence that my teacher has given me. All my teachers have helped me, even through more difficult subjects, like Maths and Science. I have participated in extra revision sessions at lunch and after school, hopefully these will pay off in my forthcoming examinations. It has been a huge honour to be Head Girl and I have worn my badge with pride. In addition, I was chosen to be a member of the Charity Committee - another huge honour. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I thank every single person that made that possible. Finally, I will be sad to leave this place that I now refer to as my second home. It's a place where I feel safe and secure, where there is always a friendly face to greet me.
HEAD BOY - OLIVER MORIARTY
I came to Hulme Hall from a large state school where classes were huge and didn't focus on me as a person. Hulme Hall has small classes where you can concentrate and the teachers focus on your needs so that you can achieve your full potential. I feel if I had not come to Hulme Hall I would not be the same person today. My favourite subjects are PE and Art. The Art facilities are excellent and have enabled me to show my creative side and my creations I feel, have been really good! The sports field and all weather pitch were a great help in my PE GCSE. All the teachers are really supportive and always go out of their way to help you with your everyday problems. I have also benefitted from Learning Support throughout my time at Hulme Hall. This has helped me with my weakest subject, English and also Maths. The staff in Learning Support are kind, really encouraging and just want to help you to do well.
HEAD BOY - OISIN O'MALLEY
Coming to Hulme Hall from Ireland, I was extremely shy as a child. However, Hulme Hall helped me gain confidence and I feel like I have both grown and matured as a person. Also coming up through the School from Year 6, I found it much easier to settle in the Senior School. The friendly and enthusiastic teaching staff made the subjects which most people would have found dull, exciting and fun. Hulme Hall also allowed me personally to become actively involved in organised sport. This year I was one of three Hulme Hall pupils selected for the ISA North U-16 Football Team. We could not have achieved this if the School had not made special arrangements for us to attend the trials. The highlight of my School career would have to be winning the North West U-16 Football League this season.
