Merit System

The merit system operates in order to give recognition to pupils on the basis of their attainment, effort and general contribution to the life of the school.

During Friday Celebration assemblies Certificates are awarded for:

  • Excellent class / homework
  • Effort
  • Neat presentation
  • Reading
  • Handwriting
  • Thinking of others
  • Good manners
  • Helpfulness

Golden Time

We believe in rewarding good behaviour and effort. ‘Golden Time’ operates for the final thirty minutes on Friday afternoons. Pupils who have qualified for ‘Golden Time’ by virtue of their effort and behaviour during the week, may follow a recreational activity of their choice during this session.
