AdmissionsA caring and nurturing environment
At Hulme Hall Grammar School we aim to meet the needs of every child.
Prospective pupils take the MidYIS test which takes approximately 50 minutes and is a computer-adaptive assessment that provides information to help identify pupil’s strengths and weaknesses and predict how they are likely to perform at GCSE.
This normally takes place as part of a taster day that will consist of children attending lessons with their relevant year group. The final stage of the process involves a meeting between the Headteacher and parents to feedback on assessment results and inform them if they have been successful.
We also have an 11+ assessment which takes place every January and is similar in format to the above. Children spend a day at school experiencing different lessons alongside taking the MidYIS test.
