Marketing Officer

Full Time

Permanent Contract

Salary: £16,000

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has the ability to communicate positively and enthusiastically with prospective parents, pupils, teachers and members of the public
  • Has a firm understanding of how to create and maintain the school website
  • Will produce the school marketing materials, including social media, the school prospectus and newsletters
  • Has the ability and confidence to plan events effectively
  • Has a Higher Education qualification related to media or marketing

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for generating enquiries including researching the local market for recruitment opportunities and co-ordinating mail shots and other advertising material
  • Contributing to strategic planning discussions as required
  • Monitoring and reporting on competitor activity
  • Preparation and submission of admissions/marketing statistics (e.g. number of admissions enquiries by year group; number of parental visits per year; conversion rates, etc.
  • Ensuring that all promotional material (e.g. prospectus, school calendar, marketing for events and activities etc.) is regularly updated and of a high quality
  • Ensuring that all digital marketing, including the school website and social media pages, is regularly updated and effectively markets the school’s activities and achievements
  • Establishing relationships with feeder schools, local media and charities.
  • Representing the school at marketing events such as Transition Evenings.

Pre-School Room Leader

Full Time maternity Cover from January 2018

Hulme Hall Pre-School is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Room Leader.
This is a full-time temporary role, maternity cover (40 hours over 5 days per week) as from January 2018

Main Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of 2-3 year olds room, encouraging good practice and being a good role model
  • Ensuring communication with parents to update them on their child’s progress
  • Promoting positive working relationships with the parents and staff
  • Supervision of children at play indoor and outdoor, and at meal times to ensure safety
  • Supervision of team to ensure that children’s work is displayed effectively
  • Ensuring that any food served is monitored and that we conform to Food Safety regulations
  • Supporting staff in planning appropriate activities for the children, following the EYFS framework
  • Taking charge of own key worker group, and informing parents and other staff of any other relevant information
  • Maintaining children’s records inclusive of observations and their next steps
  • Creating an attractive and stimulating environment

All candidates must have:

  • NNEB, NVQ2, NVQ3, BTEC or other appropriate qualification
  • A minimum of two years post qualifying experience with children
  • Knowledge and understanding of EYFS
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Children
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities
  • Experience/ Knowledge of OFSTED/ISI standards
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
