Congratulations to the 73 pupils from Year 10 & year 11 who recently gained certification in Emergency First Aid.
The certificate is valid for 3 years and forms part of the Key Stage 4 pupils’ Curriculum Vitae and will support them with college and job application in the future.

The pupils participated in a 6 hour course lead by “First Aid Training Stockport” during our School’s Curriculum Enrichment Day on 22nd October 2015.
They all felt that the day was interesting and rewarding. It has taught them essential life saving skills such as the Recovery Position; CPR; Incident Management; how to stem Bleeding and what to do if a casualty has a Seizure.

Many thanks to the trainers who lead the sessions – Jo-Anne, Dave, Mark & Andy – for making the day as practical as possible, enjoyable, lively and informative.
Head Trainer Jo-Anne Moore commented on the warm, caring, polite and friendly manner in which she was greeted by both staff and students. Our school highly recommends their training programme and we will definitely be inviting them back in the future!
